Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Depart from Nairobi and travel north through scenic highlands toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Samburu’s unique semi-arid environment is home to rare wildlife species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. Enjoy your first wildlife encounters along the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Day 2 Samburu National Reserve – Full Day Safari

Spend the day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, including elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Keep an eye out for the famous “Samburu Special Five,” unique species adapted to the region’s dry landscapes.

Day 3 Samburu National Reserve – Scenic Game Drives & Cultural Experience

Continue discovering the beauty of Samburu National Reserve with additional game drives through acacia woodland and along the riverbanks where wildlife gathers. You may also enjoy an optional cultural visit to the Samburu people, learning about their traditions, colorful attire, and pastoral way of life.

Day 4 Samburu – Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve, offering one last opportunity to spot wildlife and admire the dramatic landscapes. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon where your captivating Samburu safari adventure concludes.
