Tour Plan
Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Your safari begins in Nairobi with a scenic drive north toward Samburu National Reserve. Passing through diverse landscapes and rural communities, arrive at your semi-luxury lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu, a reserve known for unique wildlife such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. The rugged terrain and riverine forests along the Ewaso Nyiro River create excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
Day 2 Samburu National Reserve – Full Day Scenic Safari
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve is home to the famous Samburu Special Five as well as elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The scenic landscape of rocky hills, acacia woodland, and the winding Ewaso Nyiro River provides a dramatic backdrop for wildlife photography.
Day 3 Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Mount Kenya Region
Depart Samburu and travel toward the foothills of Mount Kenya to visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy. This renowned wildlife conservancy protects endangered species including black rhinos and the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and optional visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary before relaxing at your lodge with beautiful views of Mount Kenya.
Day 4 Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park
Continue south through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. This scenic park is famous for its rhino sanctuary and birdlife around the alkaline lake. During your afternoon game drive, look for white and black rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and Rothschild’s giraffes in the surrounding acacia woodlands.
Day 5 Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park
Travel to Lake Naivasha, one of the Rift Valley’s most beautiful freshwater lakes. Visit Hell's Gate National Park, known for its dramatic cliffs, gorges, and geothermal features. Enjoy activities such as walking or cycling among wildlife including zebras, giraffes, and antelopes, offering a unique safari experience.
Day 6 Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve
Journey to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, part of the greater Serengeti Ecosystem. Arrive for lunch before an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah. The Mara offers exceptional wildlife sightings including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of grazing animals.
Day 7 Maasai Mara National Reserve – Full Day Luxury Safari
Spend a full day exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve with extensive game drives. This iconic reserve offers some of Africa’s best wildlife viewing. Visit the Mara River, where dramatic wildlife scenes unfold, especially during the Great Migration season.
Day 8 Maasai Mara – Amboseli National Park
Depart the Mara and travel south to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy a scenic game drive through open plains and wetlands where elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and lions roam.
Day 9 Amboseli National Park – Full Day Scenic Safari
Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most photogenic parks. The park’s swamps attract a wide variety of wildlife, and the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a spectacular backdrop for unforgettable safari moments.
Day 10 Amboseli – Nairobi
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and optional short game drive before returning to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon where your memorable semi-luxurious and scenic Kenya safari concludes.
