Tour Plan

Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

Depart from Nairobi and travel north through scenic countryside toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Samburu is famous for its unique wildlife species such as the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and Somali ostrich. Explore the rugged landscapes along the Ewaso Nyiro River while spotting elephants, lions, and leopards.

Day 2 Samburu National Reserve – Full Day Safari

Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The reserve’s semi-arid landscapes offer excellent wildlife viewing, especially around the river where animals gather to drink. Look out for the “Samburu Special Five” alongside other wildlife including cheetahs, elephants, and diverse birdlife.

Day 3 Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Samburu and head to Ol Pejeta Conservancy near Mount Kenya. This renowned conservancy is a sanctuary for endangered species including black rhinos and the last two northern white rhinos. Enjoy an afternoon game drive with opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife within this well-protected conservation area.

Day 4 Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Lake Nakuru National Park

Travel south through the scenic Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Known for its rhino sanctuary and birdlife, the park surrounds a shallow alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and pelicans. An afternoon game drive offers chances to see rhinos, lions, leopards, buffalo, and Rothschild’s giraffes.

Day 5 Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Depart for the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah. The reserve hosts incredible wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of antelope and zebras.

Day 6 Maasai Mara National Reserve – Full Day Safari

Enjoy a full day of game drives in Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa and forms part of the greater Serengeti Ecosystem. Look out for the Big Five while exploring rolling plains and riverine forests teeming with wildlife.

Day 7 Maasai Mara – Lake Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park

Leave the Mara and travel to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake surrounded by lush landscapes. Visit Hell's Gate National Park, known for dramatic cliffs, volcanic features, and the rare opportunity to walk or cycle among wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and antelopes.

Day 8 Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

Journey south to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive for an afternoon game drive through open plains and wetlands where elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffalo are commonly seen.

Day 9 Amboseli National Park – Full Day Safari

Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s swamps and open savannah attract abundant wildlife and provide incredible photographic opportunities with Mount Kilimanjaro as a dramatic backdrop.

Day 10 Amboseli – Nairobi

Enjoy a final morning game drive in Amboseli National Park before returning to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon where your memorable Northern and Southern Kenya safari adventure concludes.
