Tour Plan
On the first morning of your Samburu tour, depart from Nairobi bright and early around 7:00 AM. The road trip to Samburu National Reserve is an adventure in itself, taking about 5-6 hours. As you journey north, the changing landscapes and occasional rest stops for refreshments keep the excitement alive. Upon reaching Samburu, settle into your chosen lodge or camp, and relish a fulfilling lunch. The afternoon is reserved for your first game drive in the reserve. The distinctive wildlife of Samburu, including the Grevy's zebra and reticulated giraffe, greet you in their unique habitat. The warm hues of the setting sun provide an excellent backdrop for photography. Wind down the day with a scrumptious dinner at the lodge, sharing tales of your wildlife encounters.

For these two days you will be embracing them with an early start, venturing into the reserve before sunrise for a magical morning game drive. The dawn chorus of birds and the possibility of spotting predators starting their day adds an element of anticipation. Return to your accommodation for a satisfying breakfast and leisure time to unwind. The afternoon can be spent at your leisure, either relaxing or engaging in activities such as a nature walk or an insightful visit to a local Samburu village. In the late afternoon, set out on another exhilarating game drive. Witness the landscapes come alive with the play of light and shadow as the sun sets, creating unforgettable memories. Conclude the day with a delectable dinner and perhaps a nightcap, serenaded by the symphony of the African wilderness.

As your Samburu journey nears its conclusion on this day, enjoy breakfast and check out from your lodge. Embark on a final game drive, aiming to spot any elusive creatures you may have missed earlier. Mid-morning, exit the reserve and savor a picnic lunch at a designated spot. With satisfied hearts and a collection of memories, begin the drive back to Nairobi, punctuated by a stop at a local crafts center or souvenir shop to bring a piece of Samburu's charm home with you. Arrival in Nairobi is expected in the late afternoon or early evening, where your safari concludes, leaving you with a sense of awe for the natural wonders you've encountered and the memories of an unforgettable adventure.
